Financial Literacy Board

The Financial Literacy Board is a non statutory body that provides advice to the Government and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) on financial literacy issues.

The Board comprises twelve members, including the Chair, Mr Paul Clitheroe, who are appointed by the Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law, the Hon Nick Sherry, in consultation with the Prime Minister.

Members are appointed in their own right, rather than as representatives of particular organisations, and give their services on a voluntary basis.

The Board meets quarterly. The meetings provide an opportunity to discuss financial literacy initiatives with local business, education and community representatives.
