Paul Clitheroe is one of Australia's leading media commentators on financial issues and is renowned for his ability to explain complex money issues in plain English. His books have sold more than 600,000 copies. He is a regular radio commentator and writes weekly newspaper columns.
Mr Clitheroe is Executive Director of ipac securities, a company he helped to found in 1983. Since that time ipac has expanded from a one-room office into a business that manages more than $8 billion for clients, and since 2003 has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of AXA Asia Pacific Holdings. He hosted the Channel 9 Money program for a decade. He is also Chairman and chief commentator of Money magazine.
Mr Clitheroe was Vice President of the Financial Planners Association (FPA) in 1993 and President in 1994. He is the Chairman of Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drink Driving (RADD), a Certified Financial Planner, and a Fellow of the Securities Institute. He has won an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Financial Planning Association and three IFA Magazine Awards for Excellence in Journalism. Mr Clitheroe completed his Bachelor of Arts at the University of NSW.
